Description: It is a climbing shrub, with cylindrical branches, often climbing, with tendrils (“branchlets”). Its leaves are variable in shape, but always lobed and slightly toothed; its color varies in shade of green, depending on the variety. The flowers, small and inconspicuous, are greenish in color. The fruit (the grape) is an oval or round berry, cerulean to maroon in color, containing several seeds.
