Description: It is an evergreen tree, with a rounded crown. Its bark is smooth and brownish gray. Its leaves are simple, lanceolate and thick, are shiny dark green on the front and whitish green on the back. It flowers from autumn to early winter, with fragrant, yellowish-white flowers arranged in erect panicles. Its fruits, the loquats, are globular or pyriform knobs of between 3 and 4 cm in diameter and yellow or orange in color, which ripen in spring.
